Islamabad, Feb 27: Oppo has officially confirmed that the highly anticipated Find X8 Ultra will make its debut in April, slightly later than earlier speculations of a March launch. Zhou Yibao, the product manager for Oppo’s Find series, made the announcement, emphasizing that the device will be available for purchase within the same month.
A Flat-Screen Flagship with a Unique Design
One of the standouts features of the Find X8 Ultra is its flat-screen design, making it the only flagship from a Chinese brand this year to adopt this style. While Zhou did not delve into specifics, he teased that the device would boast the “narrowest” feature in the world, likely hinting at incredibly thin bezels.
Leaks indicate that the smartphone will sport a 6.82-inch 2K OLED display from BOE, alongside a cutting-edge camera setup featuring a 1-inch type main sensor. Additionally, the Find X8 Ultra is rumored to include two periscope telephoto lenses and an ultra-wide sensor, significantly enhancing its photography capabilities. If these reports hold true, the device could set a new benchmark in mobile photography.
Oppo’s Ultra-Thin Compact Flagship
Alongside the Find X8 Ultra, Oppo is also set to introduce another premium model, described as an “ultra-thin small-screen flagship.” Expected to be named the Find X8 Next, this device was previously speculated to launch as the Find X8 Mini.
Reports suggest that the Find X8 Next will feature an ultra-slim profile, measuring between 7mm and 7.99mm in thickness. This strategic move aligns with Oppo’s shift in branding and positions the device as a direct competitor to Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge and Apple’s iPhone 17 Air. Both of these smartphones are known for their sleek designs and high-end performance, making Oppo’s latest offering a strong contender in the premium compact flagship category.
