Islamabad, Mar 7 2025: The business community of Pakistan has reaffirmed its trust in the economic policies of the government, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, acknowledging the administration’s efforts in fostering a business-friendly environment and attracting investment.
Welcoming key industry leaders, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the vital role of a dedicated and honest business community in national progress. “Your commitment to investing in the country, even during challenging times.
Has significantly contributed to industrial and economic growth,” the Prime Minister remarked. He credited the private sector’s resilience for driving the economy forward, generating employment, and sustaining development.
Highlighting recent economic improvements, PM Shehbaz noted a significant drop in interest and inflation rates, signaling a positive trajectory for economic stability.
He assured the business community that the government remains committed to providing a conducive environment for investment and trade.

“The journey towards prosperity begins with our local investors,” he stated, emphasizing the importance of stakeholder consultation to accelerate economic reforms.
During the meeting, business leaders praised the government’s initiatives, including the establishment of the National Seed Development Authority to ensure the availability of high-quality agricultural seeds.
They also lauded the Green Pakistan Initiative, which aims to drive sustainable environmental and agricultural growth.
Participants further highlighted the rapid expansion of Pakistan’s IT sector, attributing its success to business-friendly government policies.
Several recommendations were presented regarding the growth of key industries, with Prime Minister Shehbaz directing all relevant ministries to engage with business leaders for sector-specific consultations.
Key government officials in attendance included Federal Ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Rana Tanveer Hussain, Ahad Khan Cheema, Jam Kamal Khan, Muhammad Aurangzeb, Attaullah Tarar, Ali Pervez Malik.
