Islamabad, Mar 15, 2025: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has decided to maintain the current fuel prices for the next two weeks, effective from March 16 (Sunday).
This move aims to provide economic stability while ensuring relief for the public.
In a video message, the premier assured that the financial benefit of this decision would directly reach the people in the form of reduced electricity costs.

“We have resolved to keep petroleum prices unchanged, and the entire economic advantage will be transferred to citizens by lowering electricity tariffs,” he stated.
He further revealed that the government is finalizing a detailed plan to decrease power rates, which will be announced in the coming weeks.
“A structured relief package for electricity consumers is in progress and will be unveiled shortly,” he added.
Reaffirming his commitment to public welfare, PM Shehbaz stressed that his administration had prioritized economic relief from day one.
“Since assuming office, my top priority has been to ease financial burdens on citizens, and we are fulfilling that commitment,” he emphasized.
The Prime Minister assured that he would personally update the nation on upcoming relief initiatives soon.
