Islamabad, Mar 21, 2025: The Karachi Traffic Police have issued a detailed traffic management plan for the central Youm-e-Ali (A.S) procession, scheduled for Friday, March 22, in observance of the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Ali ibn Abi Talib (A.S).
Traffic Arrangements for the Procession
The primary gathering will take place at Nishtar Park on the 21st of Ramadan. Following this, the central procession is set to begin at 1 PM.
To facilitate the smooth progression of the event, M.A. Jinnah Road will be closed from Guru Mandir to Tower, with traffic diversions in place.
Dedicated traffic personnel will be stationed to ensure minimal disruption and efficient vehicular movement.
Procession Route
The procession will commence from Nishtar Park, passing through key locations, including Numaish, M.A. Jinnah Road, and Sea Breeze.
It will then proceed towards Empress Market in Saddar, moving through Saddar Regal and Tibet Centre, before rejoining M.A. Jinnah Road.
The event will conclude at Hussainia Imambargah in Kharadar via Bolton Market.

Alternative Routes for Commuters
To ease congestion, the Karachi Traffic Police have designated alternative routes for commuters:
- Nazimabad Traffic: Vehicles from Nazimabad should take Lasbela Chowk and Nishtar Road to access the Garden area.
- Liaquatabad Commuters: Traffic from Liaquatabad can use Teen Hatti, Lasbela Chowk, and Central Jail routes.
- Hasan Square Travelers: Vehicles heading from Hasan Square to PP Chowrangi will be diverted via Kashmir Road towards Society Light Signal.
- Jail Flyover Traffic: Vehicles will be redirected towards Teen Hatti and Nishtar Road.
- Shahrah-e-Quaideen Commuters: Those traveling towards Numaish will be diverted to Kashmir Road via Society Light Signal.
- Jamshed Road Traffic: Motorists from Jamshed Road to Guru Mandir can utilize Bahadur Yar Jang Road and Soldier Bazaar to reach their destinations.
Advisory for Commuters
The traffic authorities urge residents to plan their journeys accordingly and follow the designated routes to prevent inconvenience.
They also recommend staying updated with traffic advisories and cooperating with law enforcement for a hassle-free commute.
