Islamabad, March 22, 2025: In a recent development, a Lahore court has canceled the non-bailable arrest warrant previously issued for actress Nazish Jahangir.
This decision came after Jahangir voluntarily appeared before the Cantt Kutchery Court on Saturday and submitted a surety bond of Rs50,000.
The case against Nazish Jahangir was initiated by fellow actor Aswad Haroon, who alleges that she borrowed Rs2.5 million and a car from him for a project, promising to return them within two months.
However, despite the passage of six months, Haroon claims that neither the money nor the vehicle was returned.

During the hearing, presided over by judicial magistrate Ghulam Shabbir Sial, Jahangir appeared alongside her legal counsel, Barrister Haris.
The court had previously issued a non-bailable arrest warrant due to her absence in earlier proceedings, directing the police to ensure her presence at the latest hearing.
The initial complaint, filed in 2024 under Section 420 of the Pakistan Penal Code pertaining to cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property alleges that Jahangir, acquainted with Haroon through the entertainment industry.
Requested to borrow his car and a sum of Rs2.5 million for a project, with an agreement to return both after two months. Despite the lapse of six months, Haroon contends that Jahangir failed to fulfill her promise.
In response to these allegations, Jahangir filed a petition in September 2024 seeking pre-arrest bail, asserting that the FIR was lodged with malicious intent to harass her. However, this petition was dismissed.
The court has scheduled the next hearing for April 28, during which further proceedings will take place.
In light of the accusations, Jahangir has threatened legal action against media outlets and individuals attempting to defame her, emphasizing her intent to protect her reputation through appropriate legal channels.
As the legal proceedings continue, the entertainment industry and the public await further developments in this high-profile case.
