Islamabad, April 4, 2025: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced plans to recognize and reward outstanding individuals nominated by the public under its ‘Hamaray Heroes’ initiative during the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Cricket enthusiasts will have the opportunity to nominate remarkable personalities from a range of fields including sports, education, healthcare, art, culture, music, social work, social entrepreneurship, and technology.
Nominations can be submitted through an online form until 3 PM on Wednesday, April 9. A PCB panel will review the submissions and select 34 candidates for recognition during this year’s landmark edition of the PSL.

Shortlisted nominees will be honored with cash awards at various HBL PSL X matches. Additionally, fans will have the chance to watch short documentaries highlighting the achievements and life stories of these individuals.
These documentaries will be available on all official HBL PSL digital platforms and will also be broadcast live during the match days.
This initiative aims to celebrate the achievements of remarkable Pakistanis who have made significant contributions to society, enhancing the nation’s image both locally and internationally.
The initiative offers a platform to appreciate the diverse talents and efforts that go beyond cricket, acknowledging unsung heroes from different sectors.

Among those honored in the previous year’s Hamaray Heroes initiative were figures such as Ahmad Baig, a prominent golfer, Ahsan Ayyaz, a squash player and philanthropist, and Dr. Jawaid Qamar, the first Pakistani indigenous scholar to earn an MPhil in Cosmology.
Other notable figures included Dr. Mariam Sultana, Pakistan’s first woman to earn a PhD in astrophysics, and Farah Vohra, a Special Olympian, among others.
Through this initiative, the PCB is continuing its commitment to recognizing and promoting the efforts of individuals who contribute positively to society.
