Islamabad, Apr 8, 2025: The City Traffic Police Rawalpindi has rolled out a detailed traffic management strategy to handle the expected congestion during the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 matches at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
As per the announcement, special arrangements have been made to ensure smooth traffic flow on match days, with diversions and alternative routes set in place.
The plan includes temporary road closures, entry restrictions near the iconic stadium, and specific parking zones for fans.
The much-awaited matches are scheduled for April 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 19, and May 7, 8, 10, and 13.

On these days, traffic will be managed more strictly—especially during team movements between Serena Hotel and the stadium, as well as during match hours.
According to the plan issued by officals, traffic on Club Road will be diverted towards Srinagar Highway via Serena Chowk.
A complete closure of Murree Road (between Faizabad and Double Road) is expected on April 13 and May 17 from 5 PM to 11 PM.
If there are two matches in a day, restrictions will begin at 11 AM and continue until night.

Traffic coming from Islamabad towards Rawalpindi will be rerouted from Faizabad to the Expressway, while vehicles heading from Rawalpindi to Islamabad will be guided through 6th Road Chowk towards Saidpur Road.
Travellers using 9th Avenue will be redirected to IJP Road. Stadium Road will be off-limits from 9th Avenue Chowk to Double Road during matches.
Although the Metro Bus service will remain active, stations at Rehmanabad, Khatam-e-Nabuwat, and Faizabad will be shut temporarily during matches for security reasons.
Officials have advised commuters—especially spectators—to leave early, rely on public transport, and follow diversion plans.
Real-time updates from traffic police and local authorities are also recommended to avoid unexpected delays.
