Islamabad, Apr 9, 2025: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that Player Tracking Technology will debut in the 10th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
According to the board, the new technology will provide detailed, ball-by-ball data on various in-game elements such as player movements, bowler run-ups, and batting stances.

This information will be transformed into real-time graphics during live broadcasts, offering fans a deeper and more analytical perspective on each match.
The system offers zone-based fielding analysis, scoring-zone tracking, caught dismissal data, and field placement insights based on players’ strengths and weaknesses.
PSL CEO Salman Naseer highlighted that since its inception in 2016, the league has aimed to stay ahead by embracing innovation.

He described the introduction of Player Tracking Technology as a significant leap forward in delivering world-class coverage and engaging cricket fans more closely.
“The PSL has always embraced innovation,” Naseer noted, adding that this latest feature is another stride toward setting new standards in cricket broadcasting.
The 10th edition of PSL is scheduled to begin on Friday, April 11, with defending champions Islamabad United facing Lahore Qalandars at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

The tournament will include 34 matches played across four venues: Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Multan.
Gaddafi Stadium is set to host 13 games, including both Eliminators and the final on May 18. Rawalpindi will stage 11 matches, including the first Qualifier.
Karachi and Multan will host five matches each.
Fans can also look forward to three double-header matchdays, two of which are planned for Saturdays and one on Labour Day, May 1.
