Islamabad, Apr 16, 2025: Oman Air has officially revealed the launch of its nonstop service between Muscat and Amsterdam, marking a major step in the airline’s European network expansion and global growth strategy.
Starting from July 1, 2025, the carrier will operate four flights per week to the Dutch capital, reinforcing its commitment to enhancing international connectivity.
The announcement took place during a formal agreement signing ceremony held in the Netherlands, coinciding with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik’s state visit.
The event was graced by Con Korfiatis, CEO of Oman Air, and Pieter van Oord, CEO of the Royal Schiphol Group.
“This marks our debut into the Amsterdam market, a city full of cultural vibrancy and economic opportunity,” stated Korfiatis. “Our expansion targets destinations that align with our strategic vision and provide long-term value for tourism and commerce. Europe continues to be our second-biggest source of revenue, and Amsterdam is a critical hub for both business and leisure travellers.”
Pieter van Oord highlighted the importance of the collaboration, saying, “This direct air link represents a crucial step in deepening the relationship between Oman and the Netherlands. It opens new doors for travelers on both sides and strengthens our global ties.”
The new Muscat–Amsterdam service will be operated using Oman Air’s cutting-edge Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, offering advanced comfort and efficiency.

However, the route will initially operate during the summer season, providing smooth onward connections to over 40 destinations including India, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Zanzibar.
This route also signifies the first major launch since Oman Air’s planned induction into the oneworld Alliance.
Although, with this move, Business Class guests and members of oneworld Emerald, Sapphire, and Oman Air’s Sindbad Gold & Silver tiers will enjoy exclusive access to the oneworld Lounge at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
