Islamabad, 21 Apr, 2025: National Assembly of Pakistan Internships are now open for applications under the Parliamentary Internship Program Summer 2025.
This exciting initiative is tailored for students and fresh graduates who are eager to gain a practical understanding of Pakistan’s legislative system.
Over six weeks, participants will work directly within the National Assembly, experiencing the inner workings of democracy in action.
The program is a vital component of the National Assembly’s long-term engagement plan, aiming to promote civic education and increase youth participation in governance.

National Assembly of Pakistan Internships offers a structured and immersive learning journey. The internship spans six weeks and is available in multiple batches over the year.
It includes a brief orientation at the Pakistan Institute of Parliamentary Services (PIPS) in Islamabad, designed to prepare candidates for meaningful contribution during their time in the Assembly.
To be eligible, applicants must have completed at least 14 years of education from an HEC-recognized university.
Ideal candidates will be enrolled in a four-year bachelor’s program (having completed at least four semesters) or a master’s program in disciplines such as Political Science, Public Administration, Law, Economics, Media Studies, Social Sciences, and related fields.
A minimum of 60% marks or a 2.5 CGPA is required, and candidates must be under the age of 30. Applications from underrepresented regions including Balochistan, Sindh, KP, Southern Punjab, GB, AJK, and former FATA are especially encouraged.
Interns will engage in hands-on tasks, ranging from legislative research and policy drafting to public communication and report writing.
Throughout the program, they’ll receive mentorship from experienced professionals and participate in collaborative assignments that enhance skills such as critical thinking, analysis, and teamwork.

While this internship is unpaid and offers no job guarantee, participants will be awarded a certificate upon successful completion. Interns must attend regularly, follow official protocols, and remain politically neutral.
National Assembly of Pakistan Internships can be applied for exclusively through the official online portal. Applicants must submit a CV, CNIC/NICOP copy, academic documents, a recommendation letter, and a passport-sized photo.
