Islamabad, 21 Apr, 2025: In a horrifying and tragic turn of events, a female student was assassinated in the early hours of the morning inside a private hostel located in Islamabad’s Raman jurisdiction.
The victim, a 22-year-old scholar enrolled at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), was allegedly shot dead by an unidentified gunman under highly suspicious circumstances.
According to the official First Information Report (FIR) lodged at Ramna Police Station, the incident occurred around 12:15 AM, when an unknown intruder reportedly breached hostel security without being detected.
The allegedly armed suspect remained unnoticed within the facility for nearly an hour, leading up to a shocking act of violence.

At approximately 1:30 AM, the female student exited her room, where she and three other students were staying. It was at this moment the attacker, allegedly carrying a firearm, confronted her.
As per the FIR, he barged into the room, ordered everyone to remain quiet, and then fired at the young woman at point-blank range without issuing any threats or engaging in any dialogue.
The entire situation unfolded while her roommates stood frozen in fear, unable to intervene. Despite being witnessed by multiple individuals, the perpetrator successfully escaped the scene, vanishing into the night before law enforcement could respond.
Emergency services were immediately alerted, but the student had already succumbed to her injuries before any medical assistance could reach her.
