Islamabad, 24 April 2025: A heated exchange between Colin Munro and Iftikhar Ahmed stole the spotlight during the recent game of PSL 10 in Multan Sultans.
Tensions flared in the 10th over of of the first innings when right-arm spinner bowled a delivery to Munro.
The batter responded with a gesture that many—including commentators and fans—interpreted as a veiled accusation of an illegal bowling action.
Iftikhar appeared visibly upset and was seen approaching the umpires to formally raise his concern over the perceived slight.
Multan’s captain Mohammad Rizwan stepped in and exchanged strong words with Munro before match officials intervened to calm the situation.

Adding a touch of irony to the drama, Munro was dismissed by Michael Bracewell in the following over.
The dismissal reportedly led to a visibly frustrated reaction from the New Zealand batter in the dressing room.
Despite the off-field tension, Islamabad United maintained their unbeaten streak with a seven-wicket win at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.
Chasing 169, the visitors crossed the finish line comfortably, with nearly three overs to spare.
The chase began on a shaky note when Sahibzada Farhan departed in the third over after scoring a quick 22 off 13 balls.

However, Andries Gous and Munro stitched together an 81-run partnership that laid the foundation for a smooth pursuit.
Munro’s knock was cut short at 40 by fellow Kiwi Bracewell, but the dismissal had little impact on United’s momentum.
Gous remained unbeaten, finishing with a fluent 80 off just 45 balls.
His innings featured six boundaries and five towering sixes, ensuring Islamabad’s fifth consecutive win in the tournament.
United now sit comfortably atop the PSL table with 10 points and will next face Lahore Qalandars at the Gaddafi Stadium on April 30.
