To mark the launch of Camel Milk Powder Exports, a ceremony was held in Lahore where Federal Minister for National Food Security, Rana Tanveer Hussain, served as the chief guest.
Addressing attendees, the minister emphasized the broader significance of this development, describing it as a breakthrough for Pakistan’s underutilized dairy sector and a step toward diversifying agricultural exports.
He stated that Pakistan’s entry into the niche market of camel milk powder not only showcases the country’s production capabilities but also reflects the potential for further innovation and investment in agri-based industries.
Hussain highlighted that camel milk, due to its nutritional benefits, is gaining traction globally, and Pakistan is well-positioned to meet the rising demand.
Officials noted that the initiative has already begun creating jobs in rural areas and is likely to drive economic activity by encouraging the commercial farming of camels.
This new trade channel is expected to enhance Pakistan’s export portfolio, particularly in high-value agricultural products, thereby contributing to much-needed foreign exchange earnings.
The Ministry expressed optimism that the successful launch will encourage additional trade agreements with other countries interested in organic and specialty dairy goods.

In closing remarks, the Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to supporting exporters and promoting sustainable agricultural practices to build a more resilient rural economy.
