Islamabad Traffic Police has announced special traffic arrangements for May 1, 2025, due to the movement of a foreign dignitary.
As part of the security measures, Srinagar Highway will experience traffic delays at various times throughout the day.
According to officials, the highway will be partially closed from 2:30 AM to 4:30 AM and again from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM.
Citizens are advised to plan their travel accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
Traffic is expected to slow down during these hours, especially around key entry and exit points.
To minimize disruptions, commuters heading toward Blue Area, Sector F-6, and F-7 are advised to use the H-8 underpass.
Those traveling to Sectors I and H should use Rawalpindi-Peshawar Road and IJP Road via service roads.
Islamabad Traffic Police will be deployed at multiple locations to guide the public and ensure smooth traffic flow.
Citizens are requested to allocate at least 20 extra minutes for their travel plans.

For assistance or real-time guidance during travel, residents can contact the traffic helpline at 1915.
Updates will also be shared via Islamabad Traffic Police’s official social media platforms and ITP Radio FM 92.4.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Captain Zeeshan Haider urged the public to cooperate with traffic police and remain informed through official channels.
He emphasized that these measures are essential for ensuring the safety of both the visiting guest and the citizens of Islamabad.
