Islamabad – May 3, 2025: In response to recent blackout of PSL in India, Pakistan has decided to block the live broadcast and streaming of IPL 2025.
This move follows the suspension of PSL coverage by FanCode after the Pahalgam incident, deepening the political rift between the two nations.
FanCode removed all PSL-related content, including match highlights and videos, and halted live broadcasts of the tournament.

This was followed by other major Indian platforms, such as Sony Sports Network and Cricbuzz, pulling PSL 2025 content from their services.
In retaliation, Pakistan has also banned the ongoing IPL 2025, blocking access to matches on local apps and TV channels.
Previously, IPL matches were accessible to Pakistani audiences through a range of digital platforms and satellite TV networks.

The sudden suspension marks an escalation in the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, which have now spilled over into the sporting arena.
The fallout from the Pahalgam incident and the subsequent media restrictions have further strained the already fragile diplomatic ties between the two.
This growing divide not only affects bilateral cricketing relations but has also cast uncertainty on regional events like the 2025 Asia Cup.
