Islamabad, May 5, 2025: Peshawar Zalmi delivered a dominant all-round performance to defeat Multan Sultans by seven wickets in the 25th fixture of PSL 10 in Multan.

Opting to bat first, Multan Sultans failed to find momentum and collapsed for 108 runs in 19.1 overs.

Their batting faltered early, with both openers Yasir Khan and captain Mohammad Rizwan dismissed inside the powerplay.

Tayyab Tahir attempted to counter-attack but was removed for 22, triggering a middle-order collapse.

Shai Hope offered some resistance with a 23-run knock, but the rest of the batting unit crumbled under Zalmi’s disciplined bowling.

Peshawar Zalmi’s bowlers shared the workload effectively.

Ahmed Daniyal starred with figures of 3 for 17, while Maaz Sadaqat and Luke Wood claimed two wickets each. Alzarri Joseph, Saim Ayub, and Ali Raza chipped in with one wicket apiece, ensuring a clinical finish.

In response, Zalmi chased down the target with ease, reaching 109 in just 13 overs for the loss of three wickets.

Though they lost Mitchell Owen early, Saim Ayub stabilized the innings with a 49-run knock off 33 balls, hitting four boundaries and three sixes.

He added a crucial stand with skipper Babar Azam, who managed a scratchy eight.

Young pacer Shahid Aziz posed some threat, removing both Babar and Ayub, finishing with 2 for 17.

But Paul Bryant ensured there were no hiccups, guiding Zalmi home with an unbeaten 38 off just 20 deliveries. He partnered with Mohammad Haris (7 not out) for a match-winning 40-run stand.

With this win, Zalmi recorded their fourth victory and moved within striking distance of a top-four spot. Meanwhile, Multan Sultans remain anchored at the bottom of the table with just one win from nine matches.
