Islamabad, 6 May, 2025: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has appointed vice chancellors for 16 public universities to strengthen leadership and enhance academic stability across the province’s higher education institutions.
Professor Dr. Muhammad Ali will lead Hazara University Mansehra, while Dr. Muhammad Tahir Khalili will take charge at Khushal Khan Khattak University Karak.
Dr. Aurangzeb Khan has been appointed to head the University of Lakki Marwat, and Dr. Tahir Irfan will oversee Abbottabad University of Science and Technology.

In the engineering and technology sector, Dr. Gul Muhammad Khan will now oversee UET Mardan, while Dr. Muhammad Siddique will manage UET Peshawar.
Dr. Dawood Jan has been named as Vice Chancellor of the University of Agriculture Swat, and Dr. Shakibullah will head the Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Swat.
Other appointments include Dr. Sardar Khan at the University of Shangla, Dr. Johar Ali at the University of Peshawar, and Dr. Jamil Ahmed at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan.

Dr. Saeed Bacha will lead the University of Nowshera, whereas, the charge of the University of Science and Technology Bannu will be taken over by Dr. Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan.
To improve gender representation, KP government appointed Dr. Ghazala Yasmin as Vice Chancellor of Women’s University Swabi. Dr. Zahoor-ul-Haq will head Bacha Khan University Charsadda, and Dr. Syed Zafar Ilyas has been appointed to lead the University of Science and Technology Kohat.
