Tensions between Pakistan and India have sharply escalated after PAF downed two Indian Rafale fighter jets in response to what Islamabad has termed an unprovoked act of aggression.
Security officials said India launched early Wednesday missile strikes from its airspace, targeting several Pakistani cities including Bahawalpur, Kotli, Muzaffarabad, Muridke, Bagh, and Ahmedpur Sharqia.
These attacks were described by Pakistan’s military sources as deliberate attempts to hit civilian areas, with one strike reportedly damaging a mosque in Ahmedpur East.
