Islamabad, 7 May, 2025: Late on Tuesday, the Indian military launched a series of 24 strikes across six distinct locations in Pakistan.
These strikes primarily targeted civilian zones, places of worship, and residential areas, according to the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
In a statement, the military spokesperson confirmed that at least eight Pakistani citizens, including women and a young girl, lost their lives in the attacks.
Additionally, 35 people were injured. The most affected areas were Muzaffarabad, Ahmedpur East, Muridke, Shakargarh, Sialkot (Kotli Lohara), and Kotli in AJK.

Targeting of Mosques:
The spokesperson highlighted the deliberate destruction of several mosques, which Pakistan condemned as a cowardly act against sacred sites.
- Masjid Bilal in Muzaffarabad was completely destroyed, with a young girl among the injured.
- Masjid Subhan in Ahmedpur East and Abbas Mosque in Kotli were also hit, resulting in the martyrdom of two worshippers.
- A mosque in Muridke was similarly attacked.
The ISPR official condemned these actions, emphasizing the enemy’s complete disregard for both civilian lives and religious sanctity.
Impact on Ahmedpur East:
In Ahmedpur East, five people, including women and a girl, were killed in Indian shelling on residential areas, with rescue operations ongoing.

Other Strikes:
- Shakargarh was targeted; however, no casualties or significant damage were reported.
- Two unexploded shells were found in separate locations, preventing further destruction.
- Kotli Lohara, north of Sialkot, experienced two strikes, although damage was minimal.
Pakistan’s Retaliation:
The military spokesperson reassured the public that the Pakistan Army is actively responding to the Indian aggression.
“The cowardly attack on Pakistan was unprovoked, but our response will be swift and forceful. India will face consequences it will never forget,” the ISPR declared.
