Several international, mostly Asian airlines, have reportedly announced that they were cancelling and rerouting some flights after Indian strikes hit targets inside Pakistan, escalating the crisis between the nuclear-armed neighbours.
Flight tracking platforms showed a long line of airlines passing over Oman, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Kuwait, raising the possibility of airspace congestion.
At the time of the Indian assault, Pakistani aviation authorities noted that 57 foreign flights were operating within its airspace.
