Islamabad, 8 May, 2025: Rumours of a drone strike allegedly originating from across the border and targeting Islamabad’s F-7 sector have been firmly denied by official sources.
The speculation, which spread rapidly across social media platforms, suggested that a hostile drone had breached the capital’s airspace Thursday Afternon.

However, security experts and senior government officials have now clarified that no such incident took place. According to statements from the Director General, there was no evidence of aerial intrusion in the F-7 area, and any claims circulating online were categorically baseless.

Authorities have urged the public to avoid sharing unverified content, emphasizing the dangers of misinformation during periods of regional tension.
The DG stressed that all critical zones in Islamabad remain under strict surveillance and no breach was recorded by radar or ground monitoring teams.
