Islamabad, May 8: The Metro Bus Service between Rawalpindi and Islamabad has been suspended until Thursday, state-owned PTV News reported.

In light of rising security concerns with India, and the Pakistan’s strong military response, authorities have decided to take precautionary measures for public protection.

The decision is taken to minimise risks to citizens amid the heightened threat environment.

Furthermore, public hospitals in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, including Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Polyclinic, and others have also been placed on high alert.

The authorities have also decided to suspent flights at Islamabad, Lahore, Sialkot, and Karachi airport for until 6 pm today over security fears.

These measures are taken as Pakistan stays alert  following India’s brutal aggression and escalation of cross border military activities.
