Islamabad, 8 May, 2025: Electric Radar RD6 is set to make its debut in Pakistan, marking a significant step forward for the country’s electric vehicle (EV) landscape.
Capital Smart Motors (CSM), a subsidiary of Habib Rafiq Engineering, has formally announced its plans to introduce the electric pickup through a partnership with Geely Auto Group, one of China’s leading automotive giants.
The introduction of Electric Radar RD6 signals the official entry of Radar Auto into the Pakistani market.
Radar Auto, a brand under the Geely umbrella, focuses on electric utility vehicles and aims to cater to both urban and commercial mobility needs.
CSM Partners with Geely for EV Expansion
The announcement follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between CSM and Geely.
Under this agreement, multiple electric vehicle brands Radar, Zeekr (premium EVs), and Farizon (commercial EVs) are expected to enter the local market.
Although a specific timeline has not been provided, CSM confirmed that detailed launch plans are underway.

Electric Radar RD6, already available in global markets, comes with both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive options. It boasts a range of 373 to 455 kilometers, based on China’s CLTC testing standards.
While the global model emphasizes performance features such as fast acceleration and a robust load capacity, local specs for Pakistan will be revealed closer to launch.
Radar Auto operates under Radar New Energy Automobile (Zhejiang) Co., Ltd., which falls within the wider Geely Auto Group.

Geely’s international portfolio includes prestigious names like Volvo, Lotus, Lynk & Co, and Zeekr demonstrating its influence across multiple vehicle segments.
In preparation for EV integration, CSM plans to utilize its urban development platforms, including Capital Smart City and Lahore Smart City.
These smart infrastructure projects will support EV charging and mobility as part of a broader push towards sustainable transport in Pakistan.
