Islamabad: In a significant escalation of hostilities between India and Pakistan, Pakistan has launched a large-scale retaliatory military campaign named ‘Operation Bunyan ul Marsoos’, following alleged missile attacks by India on three Pakistani airbases.
According to reports broadcasted by Pakistan’s state-owned media, the counteroffensive has inflicted serious damage on multiple key Indian military installations.
The Pakistan military reportedly destroyed the Udhampur airbase and Pathankot airfield, both located in northern India.
Additionally, Pakistan claims that its JF-17 Thunder aircraft, equipped with advanced hypersonic missiles, successfully targeted and obliterated India’s S-400 Triumf air defense system stationed in Adampur.
This system, valued at approximately $1.5 billion, is among India’s most sophisticated air defense assets.
Pakistan’s state media also reported that several other strategic Indian military facilities were attacked.
Among these were the Sirsa airfield and the Indian Military Intelligence training center in Rajouri, which Pakistani officials allege played a role in sponsoring militant activities inside Pakistan.
In addition, a Brigade Headquarters at ‘K G Top’ and a supply depot in Uri were reportedly reduced to rubble.
In a symbolic act of defiance, Pakistan has named the Al-Fatah missiles being used in this campaign after children who were allegedly killed during Indian missile strikes on Pakistan.
The operation’s title, ‘Bunyan ul Marsoos’, conveys the image of an unbreakable wall, denoting unity and collective resistance.

Among the targeted sites was the Udhampur base, which Pakistan accuses of launching missiles toward Amritsar, impacting Sikh populations, and other targets within Pakistan.
Additionally, Pakistani forces reportedly struck and neutralized Indian artillery positions in Dehrangyari and demolished a BrahMos missile storage site in Nagrota, causing what they described as “heavy losses” to the Indian side.
Pakistan’s cyber warfare capabilities were also activated as part of the ongoing operation.
According to PTV News, Pakistani cyber units successfully carried out an extensive hacking operation that disabled approximately 70% of India’s electricity grid, significantly disrupting power supply infrastructure.

While this claim has been publicly denied by Indian authorities, Pakistani media continues to report on widespread power outages attributed to cyber intrusions.
In the digital domain, a large-scale cyber offensive also led to the defacement or shutdown of numerous Indian websites.
These include the official website of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Border Security Force (BSF), the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, the Mahanagar Telecommunication Company Limited, the Crime Research Investigation Agency, and the All India Naval Technical Supervisory Staff Association.
More than 2,500 surveillance cameras across Indian cities were also reportedly compromised as part of the same cyber campaign.

Following the launch of this counterattack, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif convened an urgent session of Pakistan’s National Command Authority (NCA).
The NCA is the primary body responsible for oversight and strategic command of the country’s nuclear arsenal and overall national security apparatus. The meeting is being seen as a signal of the seriousness with which Pakistan views the escalation.
Pakistan’s state media has emphasized that this counteroperation is not just military in nature, but also psychological and symbolic, aiming to demonstrate the country’s ability and willingness to retaliate with precision and strength against any provocation.
As tensions reach new heights, both India and Pakistan are reportedly on high alert, with their armed forces mobilized and borders fortified.
