Islamabad, 10 May, 2025: Indian Naval Activity has once again come under scrutiny after a recent publication in The Telegraph prompted an official reaction from Pakistan’s naval authorities.
Late on Friday, the Pakistan Navy released a statement indicating that the movements of Indian naval assets, including an aircraft carrier and accompanying vessels, were under continuous surveillance.
The naval spokesperson dismissed the media report as a continuation of what was termed “a failed narrative” that emerged the previous night, which had falsely suggested an attack on Karachi Port.
According to the statement, Indian Naval Activity had been exaggerated and distorted in the report, particularly with respect to the missile range claims, which the Pakistan Navy described as “inaccurate and misleading.”

Officials assured that Pakistan’s maritime defense forces remained on high alert, with all strategic units positioned in their designated operational zones.
The statement emphasized that the navy was fully equipped and ready to counter any aggressive maneuver, underscoring that Pakistan’s maritime forces were not only vigilant but fully capable of responding decisively to any provocation.
While acknowledging the presence of Indian ships in the broader regional waters, the Pakistan Navy asserted that such deployments, under current conditions, were unlikely to produce any significant strategic shift.
Instead, it was suggested that the deployment could potentially expose the Indian fleet to heightened risk, making them more vulnerable rather than achieving tactical advantage.
Defense analysts also weighed in on the situation, noting that although Indian Naval Activity has increased in recent days, the operational effectiveness and intent behind such movement remained unclear.

The atmosphere, they added, was tense but stable, with both sides maintaining a watchful stance.
The Pakistan Navy concluded by reiterating its commitment to safeguarding national maritime interests and ensuring a prompt response to any hostile incursion.
Citizens were urged to disregard unverified reports and rely on official sources for accurate updates in such sensitive times.
