Islamabad, 10 May, 2025: Pakistan Shuts Airspace a decision taken by the Pakistan Airport Authority (PAA) following heightened military activity in the region officials confirmed late Friday.
The country’s entire airspace will remain suspended for all domestic and international flights until 12 PM on Saturday, according to an official statement.
The closure was announced hours after reports surfaced that missiles had been fired by Indian forces toward three military airbases located within Pakistani territory.

While no damage was immediately reported, Pakistan’s armed forces claimed that all incoming projectiles had been successfully intercepted and neutralised.
The military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), indicated that the defensive response was swift and effective, and confirmed that no installations were harmed.

Security analysts viewed the airspace closure as a direct precautionary step to safeguard both civilian and military aviation from potential risks amid a rapidly deteriorating regional security climate.
