Islamabad, 10 May, 2025: S-400 system installations in India were reportedly hit by Pakistan Air Force during the ongoing Operation Bunyan Un Marsoos, marking a notable escalation in regional military exchanges.
A video released by Pakistan’s military showed JF-17 Thunder jets launching what was described as a precision strike.
The footage, circulated by official sources late Saturday, showed aircraft carrying out a coordinated mission, with claims that the target was India’s S-400 system, a key component of its air defence network.
Analysts stated that the action appeared to be part of a wider response following earlier hostilities across the Line of Control.

The Pakistan Armed Forces described the operation as measured and targeted. While the Indian government has yet to issue a detailed statement regarding the reported incident, defence observers noted that any damage to the S-400 system could raise questions about its operational readiness in conflict scenarios.
Operation Bunyan Un Marsoos has been cited by Pakistan as a direct counter to what it terms “provocative actions” from the Indian side.
According to military spokespersons, the airstrike aimed to neutralise strategic defence assets rather than civilian infrastructure.
Security experts noted that the S-400, acquired by India from Russia in recent years, is considered one of the most advanced air defence platforms in the region.

Its possible compromise, if confirmed, would be significant both tactically and symbolically.
The current round of engagements between the two countries has heightened regional alert levels, with both sides closely monitoring military activity.
Efforts to verify on-ground damage are ongoing, and independent confirmation remains limited due to restricted access in conflict zones.
No official casualty figures or additional operational details have been released by either side. However, defence analysts warned that further military exchanges could lead to a broader escalation if diplomatic channels are not re-engaged.
