Islamabad, 10 May,2025: Colonel Sofia Qureshi stated during a recent press briefing that India has no intention of escalating tensions along its borders, unless provoked by further actions from Pakistan.

Her comments came amid rising concerns over recent military movements and heightened alertness on both sides.

According to Colonel Sofia Qureshi, India remains committed to maintaining regional stability and expects the same level of restraint from the neighbouring country.
Emphasising India’s stance, Colonel Sofia Qureshi noted that New Delhi prefers to avoid conflict but reserves the right to respond appropriately if its sovereignty is threatened.

The Indian Army, she added, continues to monitor the situation closely but has not taken any aggressive steps on its own.
