Islamabad, 10 May,2025: A senior-level session led by Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan on Friday annouced the development of a four-lane motorway stretching from Mansehra to Kaghan, Naran, Jhal Kund, and further extending to Chilas.
The federal minister directed the National Highway Authority (NHA) to announce an emergency and start the initiative immediately.

He announced that a 235-kilometer highway from Mansehra to Naran and Chilas would be built according to global benchmarks, with special consideration to the convenience of tourists using this route.
Abdul Aleem Khan emphasized the strategic importance of the route, calling it a top priority for the government. He ordered day and night construction to ensure the project is completed as early as possible.
To improve the travel experience, the minister instructed the NHA to build rest areas along the N-15 route.

He also proposed that toll collection would be divided into two divisions, making it more convenient for travelers. He stressed that if tolls are being collected, world-class road services must also be provided.
During the meeting, NHA officials and the Federal Secretary for Communications presented updates on the project.
The minister also assigned specific responsibilities to NHA officers to ensure quality and timely execution of the Mansehra-Naran motorway.
