Islamabad, May 12, 2025: Pakistan’s military claims to have downed six Indian jets during recent military clashes between Pakistan and India.
Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmad, stated that the tally now stands at “6-0” in Pakistan’s favour, referring to recent aerial engagements.
According officals, five of the jets were downed last week alone, including three Rafale aircraft, one MiG-29, and a Su-30. The sixth was reportedly shot down earlier.
In addition to the aircraft claims, Pakistan’s state media reported that the military has intercepted and destroyed 77 Indian surveillance drones since May 8.
Security sources told the that 29 drones were taken down on May 8 alone, with another 48 neutralised over the next 24 hours.

Last Friday, Pakistan launched a large-scale counteroffensive, codenamed Operation Bunyan ul Marsoos, in response to alleged Indian missile attacks on three Pakistani airbases.
This operation led to the destruction of India’s Udhampur and Pathankot airbases, along with the targeting of the S-400 Triumf air defence system near Adampur using JF-17 Thunder jets armed with hypersonic missiles.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s military has dismissed reports circulating on social media suggesting that an Indian pilot is in its custody following recent border clashes.

The claim gained traction online amid ongoing tensions between the two countries.
Addressing the issue during a media briefing, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lt Gen Ahmed Chaudhry, clarified that there is no truth to the speculation.
He stated that the Pakistan Army has not detained any Indian air force personnel.
“This is nothing more than misinformation spreading across social platforms,” the army spokesperson said.
He added that such unverified claims are part of a wider wave of propaganda and should not be taken as fact.
