Islamabad, 14 May, 2025: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has officially announced a shortened summer vacation for 2025, beginning on 16th June and ending on 8th September.

The decision, taken by the Chief Justice under Rule 4 of Order II of the SC Rules, 1980, aims to ease the burden of pending cases and improve judicial efficiency.

Judges have been asked to restrict their vacation to one month and to provide specific dates for their leave.

They have also been requested to spend only 15 days at their preferred station, while the rest of the period should be observed at the Principal Seat in Islamabad.

Judges involved in constitutional matters may see their break adjusted based on case requirements, reinforcing the Court’s continued focus on timely justice.
