Islamabad, 14 May, 2025: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 10 is set to resume on May 17 in Rawalpindi, with Karachi Kings facing Peshawar Zalmi in the opening fixture.
However, the league’s restart comes with a few notable setbacks, particularly the likely absence of several key New Zealand players.
According to media reports, players such as Kyle Jamieson, Mark Chapman, Daryl Mitchell, and Finn Allen are expected to miss the remainder due to complications surrounding their NOCs.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is currently in talks with New Zealand Cricket (NZC), with an official update expected soon.

Adding to the list of withdrawals, Peshawar Zalmi’s Mitchell Owen is also reportedly unavailable for the rest of the league.
The 23-year-old batter is said to have chosen to stay with the Punjab Kings for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, prioritising the Indian franchise due to overlapping fixtures.
Originally signed as a replacement for Glenn Maxwell, Owen was expected to join Punjab after completing his PSL duties.
However, delays in both the IPL and PSL—reportedly caused by political tensions in the region—resulted in revised schedules, leading to a clash that made dual participation unfeasible.

Rawalpindi will host matches from May 17 to 19, including a Sunday double-header featuring Quetta Gladiators vs. Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi vs. Lahore Qalandars.
The final leg of the tournament will shift to Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, which will host the Qualifier on May 21, followed by Eliminator 1 on May 22 and Eliminator 2 on May 23. The grand finale of PSL 10 is scheduled for May 25.
