Islamabad, 15, May, 2025: Blue Residency Applicants who are currently residing outside the United Arab Emirates can now apply for a 180-day multiple-entry visa, according to a recent update from the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP).

This new development is designed to help eligible individuals complete all necessary formalities related to obtaining the UAE’s prestigious Blue Residency visa.

Long-Term Residency for Environmental Champions

The Blue Residency Applicants programme offers a decade-long residency permit to individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary dedication in areas such as environmental conservation, climate action, and clean or renewable energy initiatives.

Who Qualifies?

The authority has outlined several categories under the Blue Residency scheme:

  • Prominent environmental contributors: Individuals who have made significant, positive impacts in sustainability and green energy sectors.
  • Researchers and scientists: Those with notable achievements in environmental research, climate science, or renewable energy, nominated and approved by the UAE Scientists Council.
  • Investors and innovators: Entrepreneurs with businesses aligned with sustainability and environmental goals.
  • Professionals: Employees from environmental agencies operating within the UAE’s public and private sectors.

Blue Residency Applicants falling into these categories can now utilise the ICP’s online platforms and mobile application to apply under simplified procedures.

Application Steps and Documents

To complete the application process, individuals must:

  1. Submit personal and eligibility-related information.
  2. Upload all necessary documents.
  3. Pay the required service fee.
  4. Receive a confirmation email after submission.

Essential documents include a passport valid for at least six months, a recent passport-sized photograph, and proof of eligibility.
