Islamabad, 16, May, 2025: The federal government has announced fuel prices for the second half of May. According to the issued notification, the petrol price in Pakistan today remains unchanged while reducing the rate of high-speed diesel by Rs2 per litre.

With the adjustment, diesel will now be sold at Rs254.64 per litre.

These new prices will be effective from May 16 to May 31, 2025.

Erlier on April 30, fuel prices, both petrol and diesel saw Rs 2 per litre reduction, setting petrol at Rs 252.63 per litre and diesel at Rs 256.64 per litre.

On April 15, Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif said that although global oil prices have declined, the benefit will not be passed on to consumers. Instead the government will utilise the savings through uplift projects.

He said that the advantages of reduced petrol price in the global market will reach people through development initiatives.
