Islamabad, May 18, 2025: Due to the arrival and departure of PSL cricket teams, exceptional security arrangements have been put in place until May 18, 2025, at various times across major routes including Faizabad Expressway, Club Road, Murree Road, Faisal Avenue, 9th Avenue, and Srinagar Highway.
Between 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM as well as 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, traffic flow on Expressway and Srinagar Highway will experience short delays. Motorists are advised to expect slow-moving traffic during these hours.
Islamabad Traffic Police recommend commuters use the service roads connected to the Expressway and Srinagar Highway to avoid congestion.
Travelers heading towards Blue Area, Sector F-6, and F-7 are advised to use the H-8 underpass for smooth passage.
Traffic heading to the Red Zone and Serena Hotel should utilize Margalla Road, Jinnah Avenue, Ayub Chowk, and NADRA Chowk routes.
Citizens traveling towards Bari Imam are requested to use NADRA Chowk.
For access to Sector I and H, commuters should use Rawalpindi-Peshawar Road and the service road via IJP Road.

Heavy vehicle entry into Islamabad is prohibited during the teams’ movements.
Furthermore, traffic movement on Murree Road towards Serena and Faizabad via Rawal Dam will remain closed during this period.
Islamabad Traffic Police urge all citizens to cooperate and follow these instructions for a smooth traffic flow and enhanced security.
