These traffic controls are expected to be in place daily during peak movement times specifically between 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM and again from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Motorists have been advised to anticipate delays and to plan alternate routes in advance. Law enforcement officials noted that the Express and Srinagar Highways would face occasional blockages to ensure the safe passage of PSL teams and their security convoys.

Alternative Routes Suggested for Smooth Travel

The ITP urged commuters to utilize parallel service roads running alongside the Express and Srinagar Highways.

Travelers heading toward Blue Area or Sectors F-6 and F-7 are encouraged to use the H-8 underpass to avoid congested points.

Similarly, those accessing the Red Zone or Serena Hotel should follow Margalla Road, Ayub Chowk, Jinnah Avenue, and Nadra Chowk.

Devotees traveling to Bari Imam Shrine have been asked to use Nadra Chowk to prevent unnecessary delays.

Meanwhile, residents commuting to or from Sectors H and I are advised to opt for IJP Road and the Rawalpindi-Peshawar route, using adjoining service roads for ease of movement.

Entry Ban for Heavy Vehicles

To reduce congestion and improve flow, the entry of heavy transport vehicles into Islamabad has been temporarily banned during designated timeframes.
