Islamabad, May 20, 2025: Karachi continues to remain in the grip of intense heat today, with scorching sun and high humidity dominating the daytime weather, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The maximum temperature is expected to reach up to 37°C, but due to high humidity, it may feel like over 42°C. As of now, the temperature stands at 32°C, with the real-feel temperature already touching 36°C.

Winds are blowing from the west at a speed of 13 km/h, while the humidity level in the air is recorded at 59%, further intensifying the discomfort.

Meanwhile, most parts of Balochistan are also facing dry and hot weather conditions.

The southern districts of the province are particularly under a heatwave. According to PMD, Sibi recorded a scorching 47°C, while Turbat reached 43°C today.

Other major temperature readings across Balochistan include:

  • Quetta: 37°C
  • Kalat: 34°C
  • Ziarat: 28°C
  • Zhob: 40°C
  • Nokundi: 42°C
  • Chaman: 40°C
  • Gwadar: 35°C
  • Jiwani: 34°C

The Met Office has also forecast dusty and strong winds in some areas during the evening hours, particularly in the northern and central regions of the province.
