Islamabad, May 21, 2025: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has officially launched a nationwide “Go Cashless” campaign on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha to promote digital payments in cattle markets.
The campaign started on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, and will continue until the eve of Eid.
With the support from commercial banks, the campaign aims to promote secure, smooth, and transparent digital transactions across numerous cattle markets during the busy sacrificial season.
“In partnership with the banking industry, the SBP is enabling digital payment solutions in 54 designated cattle markets across the country,” said official statement.

As part of the “Go Cashless” campaign, various digital payment options will be made available for purchasing sacrificial animals, buying necessary supplies such as water and fodder, and even for paying parking tickets at market.
To further ease the digital payment process, the SBP has temporarily increased transaction limits from May 19 to June 15, 2025, allowing buyers and sellers to do large digital transactions with ease.
