Islamabad, 21 May, 2025: Belgian Cyclist Anas Al Razqi, a 26-year-old cycling enthusiast, has completed an extraordinary journey from Europe to Saudi Arabia in pursuit of his lifelong ambition to perform Hajj.
Belgian Cyclist Al Razqi arrived in the Kingdom after a grueling three-month expedition that covered thousands of kilometers and traversed nine nations.
He set off from Belgium at the onset of Ramadan in March, determined to make his way to Mecca entirely by bicycle.

His route included Germany, Austria, Italy, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, testing his physical endurance through challenging weather and long stretches of solitude.
A Dream on Two Wheels
Speaking to Saudi Arabia’s Al Ekhbariya TV after reaching the Halat Ammar border crossing near Jordan, Belgian Cyclist Al Razqi expressed deep emotion, describing the moment as overwhelming and almost indescribable.
He said arriving on Saudi soil made him feel like he had finally stepped into a dream he had nurtured for years.
“I feel truly blessed to be here,” he said, noting how powerful the journey has been not only physically but spiritually.
Al Razqi told Saudi news outlet Sabq that the encouragement of strangers through heartfelt prayers and kind gestures served as a vital source of motivation along his route. “Their smiles and support helped me keep going,” he explained.
Nearing the Spiritual Goal
As he drew closer to Mecca, Al Razqi said the anticipation was almost too great to bear. He described a deep yearning to set eyes on the Kaaba for the first time and to stand at the heart of Islam’s holiest site.

“My goal now is simple just to get as close as I can to the Kaaba,” he shared.
