Islamabad, 22 May, 2025: Good and Bad Touch education is at the heart of a new awareness programme launched by the Punjab Home Department, aiming to safeguard children against sexual abuse.
This large-scale campaign, rolled out under the guidance of the provincial chief minister, focuses on teaching young minds to identify safe and unsafe physical contact.
Child Safety Through Animation
As part of the Good and Bad Touch awareness drive, an animated series has been introduced to simplify a difficult topic.
The first episode features two characters, Haya and Bahadur, who lead children through everyday scenarios, helping them understand the boundaries of personal safety.

The series uses gentle language and a child-centric approach, making the topic accessible and non-threatening for young viewers.
These animated stories also teach children how to respond if someone crosses those boundaries. A key takeaway from the campaign is the message: “We won’t fear those who attempt bad touch; we’ll confront them.” This empowering slogan is repeated to help instil confidence and assertiveness in children.
Role of Parents and Educators
According to officials, the Good and Bad Touch initiative is not only for children but also targets parents and teachers, urging them to play an active role in guiding and protecting minors.
A spokesperson from the Punjab Home Department explained that spreading awareness about personal safety is a pressing priority, especially in schools and households where conversations on such topics are often neglected.

They noted that the campaign equips adults with the right tools to educate children and encourages them to build an open line of communication, so incidents can be reported early and without fear.
Reaching Every Corner of Punjab
The campaign will be conducted across a wide range of platforms, including schools, neighbourhood organisations, and social media channels, ensuring broad outreach.
Officials are hopeful that through this comprehensive strategy, the Good and Bad Touch programme will help create a safer environment for children throughout the province.
