Islamabad, May 23, 2025: In a significant move to redefine its position in the tablet market, Xiaomi has unveiled its first Ultra tablet – the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra, packed with cutting-edge technology and a host of firsts for the company.
This launch is not just a size upgrade; it marks a strategic shift in Xiaomi’s tablet ambitions, now entering premium territory with a 14-inch OLED display and its own custom chipset, the Xring O1.
Bigger, Brighter, and Sharper
While the Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro come with 11.2” LCD screens, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra features a massive 14” OLED display with superior color and brightness.
With a stunning resolution of 3200 x 2136 pixels, 12-bit color depth, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision support, the Pad 7 Ultra sets a new standard in visual performance.
Its brightness maxes out at an impressive 1,600 nits, double that of its siblings, ensuring sharp visuals even in bright environments.
Above the OLED is Gorilla Glass 5, with the option of a nano-textured glass that minimizes reflections — a rare feature even in high-end tablets.
Meet the Xring O1 Chipset
Under the hood, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra is powered by the Xring O1, Xiaomi’s first self-designed chipset, also used in the flagship 15S Pro.
Built on a second-gen 3nm process, the 10-core CPU hits up to 3.7GHz, paired with a 16-core Immortalis-G925 GPU and a 6-core NPU capable of 44 trillion operations per second (TOPS) in AI tasks.
Performance Meets Elegance
Despite its ultra-thin 5.1mm body, the tablet remains structurally sound thanks to an aluminum alloy frame with internal reinforcement.
The device weighs 609g and supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, USB 3.2 Gen 2, NFC, an IR blaster, and a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button.
The Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra is available in three configurations:
- 12GB RAM / 256GB storage: CNY 5,700 (~$790)
- 12GB RAM / 512GB storage: CNY 6,000 (or CNY 6,600 with nano-texture)
- 16GB RAM / 1TB storage: CNY 6,800 (or CNY 7,400 with nano-texture)
These variants use ultra-fast LPDDR5T RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.
More Than a Tablet – A True Laptop Alternative
With HyperOS 2 at the core, Xiaomi pushes the envelope by offering a PC-like experience. Pre-installed office apps, CAD tools, and compatibility with Apple document formats allow seamless productivity.
An optional magnetic stylus and a magnesium alloy keyboard with a touchpad (a Xiaomi-first) elevate the experience, making it a true laptop replacement for many.

Adding to its media capabilities, the tablet boasts 8 speakers (bass and tweeter combo) with Dolby Atmos support housed in large 16.5cc chambers — delivering immersive audio quality for entertainment and conferencing alike.
Xiaomi’s bold move with the Pad 7 Ultra places it in direct competition with Apple’s iPad Pro and Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, not just in terms of size but also features and pricing.
The in-house chipset, premium display, and productivity-focused accessories make it one of Xiaomi’s most ambitious products yet.
