Islamabad, May 26, 2025: The Islamabad Traffic Police have adopted a strict policy against violations of traffic laws across the capital, aiming to ensure road safety and discipline on the roads.

As per officials, serious violations will now lead to heavy fines, and in some cases, the vehicle will be confiscated and shifted to the police station.

Drivers operating without a permit, valid license, or those underage will face heavy penalties. Their vehicles will also be seized and moved to the respective police stations.

Strict action will also be taken against lane violations, one-wheeling, and overloading. Such offences will now earn significant fines.

“No one is allowed to drive without a valid license in the federal capital,” said Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad, Captain (R) Zeeshan Haider. He added that immediate and indiscriminate action will be taken against all violators without any leniency.

The CTO also appealed to all citizens to follow traffic rules and help protect lives by ensuring safer roads for everyone.
