Islamabad, May 26, 2025: Canva, a popular platform used for graphic designing, faced a global outage earlier today. The unexpected interruption left users worldwide, including in Pakistan, unable to log in or open their saved designs.
As of now, access appears to have been restored, with Pakistani users confirming that the site is functioning once more.
Throughout the day, individuals attempting to use Canva encountered repeated “Connection timed out” errors. The outage disrupted the workflow of numerous professionals, students, and creative individuals who rely on the platform to prepare presentations, manage social media visuals, and create design-related material.
Official Statement from Canva
The company acknowledged the issue through its system status page. In an update, Canva shared the following message:
“We’re aware of an issue where users are unable to access Canva and are encountering timeout errors when attempting to load the platform. Our engineering team is actively investigating and working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.”

Around noon (PKT), the company provided another update, confirming that repair efforts were ongoing. By late afternoon, access had largely been restored for users in several regions, including Pakistan.
Widespread Impact in Pakistan
Reports from Pakistan indicated that users across various cities were affected. Many expressed frustration over not being able to access their ongoing projects. Canva did not offer a temporary fix or alternate login method during the downtime.
