Islamabad, May 27, 2025: Punjab Kings (PBKS) secured a top-two finish and a Qualifier 1 berth with a superbly-executed run chase to beat Mumbai Indians (MI) in IPL 2025. With a top-two finish at stake, the MI vs PBKS fixture carries significant weight as both sides decide to play for supremacy.

In what was a ‘winner takes all’ contest, PBKS chased down a total of 185 with 1.3 overs to spare, as Josh Inglis made 73 and Priyansh Arya slammed 62.

With this win, PBKS rose to the top of the table and will play the Qualifier 1 at home in Mullanpur.

Earlier, Punjab Kings made a couple of adjustments to their starting eleven. Kyle Jamieson, stepped in temporarily for Lockie Ferguson, got the nod, along with Vijaykumar Vyshak, who had featured just once since the season’s opening game.
