Their respective moon-sighting bodies reported no sighting of the crescent on Tuesday evening, thus beginning Dhu Al Hijjah from May 29. Pakistan’s Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee confirmed Eid for Saturday, June 7, following this timeline.

The variation in Eid dates is common in the Islamic world due to the decentralized method of moon observation.

Arafat Day and Hajj Significance
The Day of Arafat, falling a day before Eid, holds deep spiritual meaning, particularly for pilgrims gathered at Mount Arafat during Hajj. For non-pilgrims, it is observed through fasting and reflection.
