Islamabad, 30 May 2025: Petrol, Diesel Prices in Pakistan may witness a minor decrease in the upcoming fortnightly review, as marginal adjustments in global crude rates influence domestic pricing forecasts.
Early estimates suggest a possible reduction of Rs. 0.60 per litre for petrol and Rs. 0.28 per litre for high-speed diesel, following subtle shifts in international benchmarks.
Fuel Rates Likely to Adjust Slightly
The current per-litre price for petrol stands at Rs. 252.63, while diesel is priced at Rs. 254.64. Should the expected revisions be implemented, the new rates would be Rs. 252.03 for petrol and Rs. 254.36 for diesel.

Meanwhile, kerosene oil could see a slight increase of Rs. 0.30, bringing its price to Rs. 164.96 per litre. Similarly, light diesel oil may go up by Rs. 1.30 per litre.
In the previous adjustment made on 15 April, fuel prices remained unchanged. Before that, a reduction of Rs. 2 per litre was approved by the federal government.
As global energy markets remain volatile, Petrol, Diesel Prices continue to be reviewed regularly to reflect international trends.
The anticipated update, if approved, would mark another small shift in the ongoing price strategy for fuel.
