Karachi, June 2, 2025: Karachi’s Malir district was once again jolted by an earthquake, marking the seventh seismic activity in the area within a short span. The latest tremor struck at exactly 1:11 PM, causing concern among residents.
According to seismic monitoring reports, the earthquake registered a magnitude of 2.2 on the Richter scale. The quake originated at a depth of 29 kilometers, with Malir and its surrounding areas identified as the epicenter.
Although the tremor was minor, it caused partial damage to a few buildings in the locality. This recurring seismic activity has raised questions and concerns among the residents regarding safety measures and future preparedness.
