Islamabad, 2 June, 2025: Cut-Off for NCP Vehicle profiling has officially been declared as August 1, 2025, by the Excise and Taxation Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

This deadline applies specifically to all non-custom paid (NCP) vehicles operating in the Malakand Division and the merged tribal districts.

As part of an administrative push to bring undocumented vehicles into the formal system, authorities have urged vehicle owners to visit designated Excise offices before the deadline. Officials warned that unregistered vehicles still on the roads after this date could be confiscated, and legal proceedings may follow.

The initiative aims to create a secure and centralized record of NCP vehicles. According to Additional Secretary Mazhar Ali Shah, essential information such as the make, model, ownership history, and estimated market value of each vehicle will be digitally archived. This data will be accessible to both the police and civil administration for verification and enforcement purposes.

To complete the process, vehicle owners are required to present their national identity card and the vehicle’s purchase documentation at their nearest Excise and Taxation Office. Officials stated that the entire procedure takes only five to ten minutes.

However, vehicles found with altered or manipulated chassis numbers will be excluded from profiling, and their owners may be subject to further legal scrutiny.

Speaking to the media, Excise official Muhammad Naeem clarified that the profiling process is completely free of charge. Upon successful verification, owners will be provided with a provisional number plate by their local police station for identification purposes.

Excise and Taxation Minister Khaleeq-ur-Rehman emphasized that this drive is purely administrative. “No taxes will be levied under this process.

The customs duty on these vehicles is a federal subject,” he said. The profiling campaign, he added, was a policy decision made by the Apex Committee to enhance regulatory oversight and minimize the use of untraceable vehicles.

Officials reiterated that the Cut-Off for NCP Vehicle profiling will not be extended. They encouraged the public to complete their documentation promptly to avoid potential penalties.

As the Cut-Off for NCP Vehicle nears, local authorities are ramping up awareness efforts across affected districts to ensure maximum compliance before the August deadline.
