Islamabad, June 3, 2025: Russian content creator Vitaly Zdorovetskiy will remain in the Philippines after both the United States and Russia declined to take him back, Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla confirmed on Sunday.

“We’re facing an issue—Russia refuses to accept him, and the US, where he holds a green card, also won’t take him. So we have nowhere to deport him,” Remulla stated.

Zdorovetskiy was taken into custody by local authorities in April after he reportedly carried out multiple disruptive stunts, including recording himself disturbing Filipino citizens in public.

He is expected to appear in court next week, facing three charges of unjust vexation, which carry a possible jail term ranging from three months to a year. “He will serve his sentence. That is certain,” Remulla emphasized.

Vitaly Zdorovetskiy has appealed to the secretary to dismiss the charges, pointing to his struggles with mental health. However, Remulla remained firm, saying that such behavior must not be excused and should face legal consequences.
