Islamabad, June 4, 2025: The adrenaline-fueled Dhoom franchise is preparing for a comeback and this time, all eyes are on Ranbir Kapoor. According to an exclusive from Pinkvilla, the wheels are turning fast behind the scenes as Yash Raj Films’ Aditya Chopra takes the lead to shape Dhoom 4 into something the audience hasn’t seen before.
Chopra, along with renowned screenwriter Shridhar Raghavan, is personally refining a script that does justice to the legacy of Dhoom. Insiders say the duo is working closely to fine-tune a story packed with pace, spectacle, and a fresh style of storytelling.
“Ranbir isn’t just cast — this character is written around him,” a source revealed. “His charisma, intensity, and cool-headed charm have been central to crafting the new antagonist. This isn’t your usual Dhoom villain. The tone, look, and energy of the film are going global.”
While the original duo — Jai and Ali — who were memorably portrayed by Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra, are yet to be recast, the studio is keeping names under wraps for now. Production is expected to begin by April 2026, with a wrap-up scheduled before year’s end. A grand release is on the cards for 2027.
